Embark on a transformative journey through the remarkable legacy of the Fisk Jubilee Singers. This groundbreaking 2,500 square-foot exhibition brings to life the story of young African American singers who broke through racial barriers in the late 1800s while preserving and celebrating the unique American tradition known as spirituals.
NMAAM, Fisk University, and Lilly Endowment have collaborated to create this immersive experience that transports visitors to a Fisk Jubilee Singers performance where they will:
- Connect with the emotional content of the music and its role in helping people endure adversity
- Appreciate the conditions that gave birth to the arranged spiritual
- Understand the revolutionary struggle of these young performers striking out for a worthy cause

Museum Galleries General Admission Ticket Information:
- Online tickets are non-refundable but are valid for one year after your purchase date.
- Each general admission ticket includes a RFID Interactive Wristband.
- With the wristband, you can:

- Access exclusive content based on your museum journey
- Take home a communication keepsake of your visit
- Discounts are available in person for seniors, military, first responders, educators, students, and children between 5 and 17. Children under 5 are free.

- Log in with your membership credentials to access your complimentary museum galleries general admission tickets based on your membership level. If you haven't registered, please use the "Register" button to create your login.
- The Jubilation! Exhibit tickets for all members will be $5.00. Members must present their membership card for validation.
- If you are bringing guests, please use the appropriate non-member tickets.
Free Admission Days: Experience NMAAM without the cost on our special Free Admission Days, sponsored by our generous partners:
- Nissan Free Wednesdays: Every first Wednesday of the month, enjoy complimentary access to the museum galleries; excludes access to the Fisk Jubilee Exhibit.
- RFID Interactive Wristbands are $5.00 each on Nissan Free Wednesdays and Community Days.
On these days, simply show up and immerse yourself in the history and influence of African American music at no cost!
