Step inside the story of a blues legend. Join Grammy winner and Blues Hall of Famer Bobby Rush for an AMERICANAFEST screening of his new documentary, King of the Chitlin' Circuit, produced by Mississippi Public Broadcasting.

The evening begins with a reception and museum welcome before moving into the theater for the screening. The film follows the 92-year-old across seven decades — from Southern juke joints and the Chitlin' Circuit to international stages, film roles, and a new PBS spotlight. Following the screening, Rush joins NMAAM's Dr. Dexter Evans for a guided conversation and audience Q&A, closing with a photo and meet-and-greet.

An immersive afternoon inside the story, sound, and legacy of the blues as a foundation of Americana and Black music.
